"Jane Getter Premonition is a stunning prog rock/jazz fusion outfit
reminiscent of stylistic darlings like King Crimson and Mahavishnu
Orchestra" -

Led by guitarist, singer and award winning composer Jane Getter, JANE GETTER PREMONITION is an allstar band featuring keyboardist Adam Holzman (Miles Davis, Steven Wilson), guitarist Alex Skolnick (Testament, Transiberian Orchestra), bassist and singer Paul Frazier (David Byrne, Nile Rodgers) and drummer Gene Lake (David Sanborn, Nile Rodgers and Chic). Getter has been shedding boundaries since picking up a guitar at age eight and recently won the number eight slot for best guitarist in Prog Magazine’s readers poll. She cites musical influences Mahavishnu Orchestra, King Crimson, Porcupine Tree and guitar influences Jeff Beck, Allan Holdsworth, and Wes Montgomery. On her first tour, with legendary jazz/blues organist Brother Jack McDuff, Getter’s musical language expanded to embrace the groove-oriented music that she saw thrilling audiences. Getter has also toured and played with Lenny White, Ursala Dudziak, Jaimoe (of the Allman Brothers), Michal Urbaniak, Kenny Garrett, The Roots The Jam, Mike Clark (Headhunters), the Saturday Night Live Band and more.

Jane (1999)

"When searching for undiscovered gems in rock music, we should all be so lucky to come upon a band like the Jane Getter Premonition. Exquisitely produced, Anomalia boasts an all-star cast of musicians weaving magic over an album of skilled songwriting... embracing elements of blues, jazz, folk..."

"For two decades, guitarist, composer, and vocalist Jane Getter has been wowing audiences with stellar technique and an ever-evolving palette of sounds melding prog and jazz fusion with savvy metal, hard rock, groove-centric, and soul jazz sounds she developed while serving with organist Jack McDuff. While 2021's Anomalia comfortably dwelled between melodic prog-rock and edgy fusion, Division World falls more in the camp of artful, edgy, progressive pop. There's plenty of instrumental acumen displayed on Division World, carried in expertly written songs with intuitive arrangements amid unintrusive production. All told, they deliver an uncommon emotional depth and musical sophistication in spades."

"Anomalia is a progressive jazz-rock album, to be sure, but it goes well beyond the chops fest trap that the idiom can sometimes fall prey to. Getter is as much an astute songwriter as she is an accomplished guitarist. "
